Mtwenty  DJ’s Top 3 tracks.

Wednesday

Ollie Faulkner : Top 3

Harold Marvin and The Bluenotes;
“Don’t Leave Me this Way”

A magical soulful party tune with a fantastic crescendo.

Doobie Brothers;
“Long Train Running”

A classic acoustic anthem guaranteed to have people up dancing.

Gonzales; “Get It” (Instrumental)

This rare 80’s synth-funk cut works perfectly in both laid back chill out sets or adds a special groove to a party.

Thursday

Dan English : Top 3

Frankie Valli;
“Beggin’” (Pilooski Edit)

A re-edit of a Northern Soul stomper by legend, Frankie Valli - lead singer of the ‘Four Seasons’ and writer of the 'Grease' theme tune. Released last year on Piloooski's ‘Dark and Lovely’ Label, it shows the mind of a perfect DJ. This track is perfect for any time of the night.

Grace Jones; “Williams Blood” (Aeroplane Remix)

This track is a remix of a track from Graces' latest album ‘Hurricane’. It is a perfect slice of uplifting Nu-Disco. Producer Aeroplane, have some of hottest Disco heads around at the moment and are responsible for one of the biggest disco tracks of last year; 'Caramellas', as well as a string of remixes for the likes of MGMT, Allez Allez and the Shortwave set.

Daft Punk; “One More time”

This is an all time classic by two shy robots also known as Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manual de Homen-Christo. With heavily auto-tuned vocals by Romanthony (born Anthony Wayne Moore) and an alleged sample from 'More Spell On You' by Eddie Jones; this track is a perfect peak time anthem sure to bring a moment of euphoria to any night.

Friday

Sam Du Prez : Top 3

Girl Talk; "Feed the Animals"

This has got to be the album of 2008. This guy (not girl), from Philly makes songs out of hundreds of samples using just a laptop. He mixes hardcore rap and cheesy pop to make these next level mash-ups and the record is free to download, ala Radiohead, from his website.

Lionel Ritchie; "All Night Long"

I LOVE this and always mix this into my set.  It just never fails to get everyone partying and for that reason it could be the best dance record ever made.

Sweet Charles; "Yes It's You"

A hard-to-find Rare Groove track produced by James Brown and sampled by Sugababes. It's such a soulful record it could be by The Jackson 5. You might not know this one but it’ll make you feel good.

Saturday

Dan Soulsmith

David Joseph; “You Can’t Hide
(Your Love From Me)”

I adore this piece of music from 1983, a good-time boogie vibe that everyone should own. Electro soul at its best.

Frankie Knuckles featuring Jamie Principle; “Your Love”

One of the most important house tracks ever!

Released on Trax in 1987, this tune was a Chicago anthem. Having never set foot in a nightclub, Jamie was singing about his love for his girlfriend. Pure passion and innocence, which is why it sends such emotion through any dance floor. I also love this track because from the three note looped intro, most people think it is going to be You Got the Love by the Source, feat Candi Staton, another good track but Your Love is just amazing!

Theme; “Still Going”

Released 2007 by DFA. A simple deep house track, sooo catchy! Synthy, Italo disco sound and classic piano cords = Goosebumps!
